A Clinical Study on the Therapeutic Effect of 4-nitro-2-phenoxymethane-sulfonanilide(Nimesulid) in Acute Pharyngotonsillitis

Abstract
|
|
|
Nimesulid, 4-nitro-2-phenoxymethanesulfonanilide, a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug endowed with potent antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities was tested at a daily dose of 200mg b.i.d. against 40 cases of acute pharynogotonsillitis.
The therapeutic effect was appeared in 36 cases(90％)：13 cases(32.5％) in Group Ⅰ, 12 cases(30％) in Group Ⅱ, 11 cases(27.5％) in Group Ⅲ.
2 cases complained gastrointestinal discomfort.
